Dr. Sherman is a board-certified neuropsychology specialist who provides neuropsychological assessment to people when there are concerns about their thinking abilities.  

Whether this is due to injury, neurological condition, or other factors including aging, mood, pain, or sleep, Dr. Sherman helps people understand their cognitive and psychological functioning with a goal to provide helpful recommendations and improve quality of life.

She has over 20 years of experience assessing people with various neurological and psychological conditions including:

• Traumatic Brain Injury

• Multiple Sclerosis

• Epilepsy

• Parkinson's disease

• Pain conditions

Dr. Sherman conducts comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to aid in differential diagnosis and inform treatment. Each assessment provides a comprehensive report and interactive patient-centered feedback session to review results and provide recommendations.

Background

Dr. Sherman has worked in several positions, engaging in research, supervision, and clinical work at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Departments at both the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Detroit Medical Center's Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM). 

She most recently served as the Chief of the Department of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at RIM.
